MATT WOODS Website Facebook Twitter

Matt Woods is an outlaw country and southern roots songwriter from Knoxville, Tennessee who spends a hell of a lot of time on the road, playing his songs for anyone who cares to listen. “Some folks call what I do Americana, but I have a hard time putting a label on things like that. A lot of my songs are very much based in classic country music while others are grounded in straight forward and greasy rock’n’roll,” Woods explains. “I write what is ready to come out and try to be as honest as I can about it.”

Along the way, Matt has shared the stage with the likes of Chris Knight, Black Oak Arkansas, Roger Alan Wade, Zac Brown, Drivin’ n’ Cryin’, Will Hoge, Roger Clyne (of The Refreshments), CAKE, Mic Harrison (of the V-Roys and Superdrag), and many others, not to mention a seemingly never-ending list of talented independent artists who aren’t getting the widespread respect they deserve from points around the globe.

CALUMET Facebook

Calumet first began writing in December of 2014. Conceptually realized before a note was strummed, Calumet recalls the sounds of some of it’s members previous efforts (Alone at 3AM, 500 Miles to Memphis, The Frankl Project) but goes back to the beginnings of American Rock music for its songwriting inspiration. The result is catchy and comfortable, familiar like you’ve heard it before, but rest assured you haven’t. Complex harmonies, atypical structures, and seldom sung-about subject matter serve to stimulate the listener, and set Calumet apart from past or present acts in the genre. Its that ‘Dylan Goes Electric’ moment, for better or worse, and we can’t wait for you to experience it.
