Special musical guests will join the Tribute Band to help bring these legendary songs to life.
The Band (Levon Helm, Robbie Robertson, Garth Hudson, Rick Danko, and Jim Weider) left a huge impact on rock and roll, and, some might say Americana music, with their timeless songwriting and an undeniable musical chemistry.
The original Last Waltz was performed and recorded at the Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco, November 25, 1976, and released in 1978, as an album and a film directed by Martin Scorsese.
At the heart of Grits & Soul are Anna Kline and John Looney. They recently relocated back to John’s native Kentucky from Asheville, North Carolina. Anna and John lend their voices to the tradition of Southern songwriters who constantly explore and push the boundaries of American roots music.
The Tribute Band is John Looney (electric guitar, mandolin, vocals), Anna Kline (acoustic guitar, vocals), Tony Toy (electric guitar, vocals), Evan Martin (keys), Christopher Brown (bass), and Josh Anglin (drums).
