In F.A.M.P.S. (Food and Music Preservation Society) we hope to share our experiences with some of the great food and spirits that we have encountered while traveling to concerts. You’ll also find monthly recipes that will be paired with Spotify playlists created by the wonderful people here at Dead Audio Blog.

We all know that listening to music can affect our mood. Heavy Metal can cause our blood to pump a little faster; and some people find that the pulse slows while listening to something classical, or maybe even some dreamier synthpop. But how else does music affect our senses? Have you ever listened to Bob Marley and imagined yourself on the beach somewhere warm, someplace with fresh seafood? As people who have always enjoyed both Food and Music VERY much, we feel that the two go hand in hand. We believe that certain music causes us to crave certain things and vice versa; that eating certain cuisines can conjure certain sounds and images. A personal favorite combo of mine is Barbecue and the Blues. Those who have been to Beale Street in Memphis, TN might understand how seriously life-changing the two can be when experienced together. And I can never go to Bonnaroo without having a slice of Spicy Pie, because pizza goes with all kinds of tunes.
