Funk rock/fusion outfit TAUK recently performed at Lexington’s Cosmic Charlie’s, blowing the roof off with their unique brand of New York-bred funk. Touring their recent album Sir Nebula, TAUK found that sweet spot between live-tronica grooves and impressive solos from every member throughout the show.
TAUK is comprised of Alric “AC” Carter (keyboard), Matt Jalbert (lead guitar), Isaac Teel (drums) and Charlie Dolan (bass). Together, they weave effortlessly between dancefloor-approved grooves and hard, headbanging riffs.
Providing their own sound and light, TAUK present their music their way, sparing no detail.
A set highlight came when the band did a hard, synth-driven cover of The Beatles “Eleanor Rigby.”
TAUK is on a massive tour that will take them across the country, including several summer festival performances. Check out their full tour and info on TAUK’s website.
